The Justice for All Annual Campaign
The Justice for All Annual Campaign was founded in 2004 by area law firms and has raised over $2 million since its inception. The campaign provides operational support for the work of LASNNY’s six offices throughout Northeastern New York. Annual support of LASNNY is essential for providing day-to-day legal assistance to vulnerable and low-income families and individuals with urgent civil, non-criminal legal problems.
- Asks that partners calculate their firm gift at a minimum of $250 per attorney
Campaign Leader Levels:
Platinum ($499 & up) Gold ($325 to $498) Silver ($250 to $324) Supporter (up to $249)
- Asks for a contribution from every individual attorney and judge in Northeastern New York and the public-at-large each year
- Inspires a network of hundreds of attorneys, judges and other volunteers to work toward a common fundraising goal
Now more than ever, your community needs access to legal services to help with unemployment, homelessness prevention, education, disability, and hundreds of other civil legal matters. By standing up alongside leaders in our legal community and investing in today’s civil legal aid programs, you help guarantee justice for future generations.
LASNNY’s Justice for All (JFA) and Annual Fund are unrestricted fund campaigns (ending on December 31). We serve 16 counties in Northeastern New York, in our regional offices located in Albany (The Center for Civil Legal Services), Amsterdam, Canton, Gloversville, Plattsburgh, and Saratoga Springs; we also serve the St. Regis Mohawk Indian Reservation in rural St. Lawrence County.

Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York’s Picturing Justice Annual Campaign (ending on December 31) provides essential unrestricted funding to support our mission.

Guardians of Justice
The Guardians of Justice are a group of individuals committed to securing justice for future generations through support of the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York’s permanent endowment fund—The Legal Aid Legacy Fund. Membership is available to those that have notified us in writing that they have made a provision for LASNNY in their will or other estate planning document. Members also include those who have made Endowment Fund outright gifts to the Legacy Fund.

Include the Legal Aid Legacy Fund in your Estate Plans
The will you write today is your opportunity to provide for your loved ones as well as your means to further your vision for a more just world. Your will is your chance to:
- Use your accumulated assets as you see fit during your lifetime and direct how they pass after your death
- Make a generous charitable donation and qualify for estate tax savings
- Name the person or persons that you wish to take your estate through the probate system (the Personal Representative)
- Record your wishes now and still retain the power to adapt them as your circumstances change, since your will is fully revocable during your lifetime
- Honor someone with a named gift
Make a Bequest Contribution
If you currently have a will, you can easily add what’s known as a “codicil” or amendment to provide a bequest to the Legal Aid Legacy Fund. If you don’t already have a will, it is to you and your family’s advantage to take this important step now. Oftentimes, creating a will is neither difficult nor expensive. Consult with your own legal and financial advisors about how to best include your philanthropic goals in your overall estate and financial plans.

SEFA is a joint venture of State employees, public employee unions, management, and not-for-profit organizations. We generally receive notification of who donated to the campaign at the end of March or April.
